IMPERSONAL: ir = to go

PERSONAL INFINITIVE: (me to go)

[A Personal Infinitive per se is NOT PRESENT in English. In English, a Personal Infinitive is usuallly formed with the aid of the preposition for as in "He wished (for) me to go."

(eu) ir = "... (for) me to go."

(p) (tu) ir + es = ires = "... (for) thou to go."

(ele, ela, você, o senhor, a senhora, a senhorita) ir = "... (for) him/her/you to go."

(nós) ir + mos = irmos = "... (for) us to go."
